Our Story: I have always wanted a small lap dog, a cuddler and one that doesn't shed.  I did quite a bit of online research and decided on the Maltese breed.  I called the breeder that my parents got their Chihuahua from and they also bred Maltese's.  They did have a female one available and we went to see it and it was truly love at first site.

We asked some questions, saw the parents, visited with them a while then took our new baby home, she was 10 weeks old and such a Happy little girl. So we settled on the name - Happy Girl - we call her Happy!

Come to find out Happy became a big girl and not the breed standard, we learned our lesson about buying from a backyard breeder though.

Happy was Born on November 6, 2003
We brought her home on January 19, 2004

Joy at 5 Months

Our neighbors a few doors down have 2 Malts, Soonie and Dolee.  She breeds them and the puppies go to friends or family.   I told them I was thinking about getting a sister for Happy.  When Soonie got pregnant again, they asked me if I wanted a girl if she had one.   I said YES, Soonie had 1 girl and 2 boys, I of course, got the girl and watched her grow up as I could visit her often.   She was such a small, sweet puppy!

Joy is a real JOY and Happy does love her sister.

Joy was Born on December 24, 2004
We brought her home on February 3, 2005
We got Joy at 6 weeks, that was earlier than we got Happy but Joy's Mom was out of milk & pups were eating food. I took her to the vet
when we got her & he said she was in perfect health.
